It is therefore our mission to owners of properties to provide superior management services that will maximize the income potential of their properties. HVR has been providing management services to the Kohala Coast since 1985. The business started with a local real estate agent who was asked by a few of her clients to maintain and rent their properties when they were not in residence. In 1994 Patricia Freeman purchased the business, which at that time managed 12 properties. Patricia’s (most call her Pattie) background was selling luxury properties on the island of Oahu. First class service is what her Owner’s and Guests have come to expect.

The Kohala Center has won a NOAA grant to assist Puako Makai Watch with our Reef-Greeter info booth. It will provide advertising design work to attract volunteers, conduct volunteer training sessions, provide data collection formats, volunteer t-shirts and booth materials. Our goal to be successful with this educational outreach effort is to enlist enough volunteers to operate a booth at both Paniau and Waialea Bay two or more days per month. I am proud to have initiated an association with The Kohala Center for our reef protection efforts. Their Reef Teach education program at Kahalu’u Bay is a fine example, highlighting their ability and experience thru Cindi and Matt and their successful grant writing team.. We are lucky to have them working with us to expand our capabilities. Contact Randy or myself for more about the Reef-Greeter info booth. NEXT: The Kohala Center is also willing to help with a grant proposal for a Biological Monitoring Program for the Puako reef.
