South Kohala CDP — oppuritunity to testify in support of South Kohala CDP

Saddle Road almost finished linking Hilo town to Waimea townWe have been to a few of the meetings regarding the CDP and the plans they are coordinating regarding South Kohala.

The Hawai’i County Council will review the South Kohala CDP (Bill 369) at its Planning Committee meeting which starts at 3 pm on October 7 (tomorrow) in Hilo. Contact Bob Hunter 885-4194 if you would like to carpool to Hilo. Please wear a red shirt. The color red represents the Hawai’i island. Alternatively, you can testify (in your red shirt) at 3 pm and watch the action via teleconference at the Waimea Council Office, next to the feed store on Kamamalu St. Finally, you can email in your testimony (as soon as possible) to: K. Also, at the same meeting, the County Councl will be considering Bill 324, the Impact Fee Ordinance. Planning Director Chris Yuen has called Bill 324 “one of the most important legislative decisions the County has considered in years.” You are invited to provide testimony on that bill, too.
