Solar water heaters a requirement in 2010
Aloha,
Hawaii has broken new ground by being the first state to require solar water heaters on all new single family home construction beginning in 2010. This bill was recently signed into law by Gov. Linda Lingle. Building permits will not be issued for homes that do not have solar water heaters. Some exceptions will be allowed, like for houses in forested areas. Way to go!
