Location, location, location – Pu’u Po’a
I recently talked to a friend of mine that moved to Kentucky from Kauai. She was telling me about a neighbor’s house that is on the market — all the bedrooms, huge square footage, on acreage, outbuildings – the list of amenities went on and on. The neighborhood is beautiful and no lots are less that 2+ acres. You can keep a horse there. There is also a stream that runs through the neighborhood. Just lovely. The seller was asking $225K. (Email me if you are interested in this property.) She ended with the comment “This would be a million dollar property in Hawaii or more.” Ahhhh! There’s the rub. Kentucky and not Kauai! They say location is everything in real estate and so it is.
Here on Kauai, for location, Pu’u Po’a just has to be the best. I was out taking photos today and could not resist the photo op presented by Pu’u Po’a as it sits on the bluff overlooking the blue Pacific. What a great location! There are 56 units in Pu’u Po’a in 16 buildings with 4 units per building. The units are luxurious with even more luxurious views. The units are spacious 2 bedroom / 2baths , with large rooms, huge lanais and spectacular views. Pu’u Po’s is the closet complex to the world famous Princeville Resort Hotel and is literally just a few minutes walk from your door.
At present, there are 6 units on the marekt, all over a million-

I remember when these units were selling for $300K and $400K which was before the huge renovation that turned them into the luxury condos you see today. They just can’t be beat for views, ambiance and of course, LOCATION. Here is the picture I took today from the Pali Ke Kua condos that sit on a bluff prior to the Pu’u Po’a units:
Now THATS what I call a LOCATION!
