MISSING KONA – I’m Off Island Now
SO SORRY I HAVEN’T UPDATED my Hawaii blog recently. I’ve been on the mainland, in Brevard County Florida. That is no excuse for not updating but I must say it took several days to get my nights and days switched around. Many of you know I am also a broker in Florida. I actually own Luxury Real Estate Florida, Inc., a big little company. I say little because there are only 3 agents. I say big because we list and sell an amazing share of the market we work.
WORLD FAMOUS COCOA BEACH and Cape Canaveral or Florida’s Space Coast might sound more familiar to you. That’s right, since 1983 I lived and worked where I could walk out my front door and watch Space launches. Many of my clients have worked for the Space Program. Most of those who live in these community feel a special connection to our Space Shuttles. As a rule I’d say the citizens here are rather patriotic and they place a premium on education. Last year Cocoa Beach High School was ranked 54th in the nation.
SMALL TOWN TAKES ON new meaning when you understand that Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach occupy a corridor on a barrier island along A1A that is between 10 blocks and 2 blocks wide and only about 10 miles long. The towns are bounded on the North by Port Canaveral – one of the busiest in the nation and the home of the Disney Wonder and Magic. Did you know their ship horns play, “When you wish upon a star”? On the West the Banana River is more than a mile wide but most of it is only a little over 3 feet deep. Patrick Air Force Base just to the South has a couple of the best surf spots in the area. Last and best, the east coastline is part of a public beach that is more than 70 miles long.
I WILL BE OUT OF THE OFFICE for a while on Eastern Standard Time. The photo above was taken from Boardwalk Condominium in World Famous Cocoa Beach. If you are interested in purchasing one of these beautiful direct ocean condos, we can arrange it through Luxury Real Estate Florida, Inc 321-783-1155. If you’d like to rent one of these, my sister, Yvonne Campbell will arrange that. Call King Rentals Inc. 321-784-5046 and tell them Joyce said to call.
