According to the Kauai MLS there were 50 closed sales for the month of October 2009. 10 of these or 20% were REO properties. My guestimate is that these figures will probably remain the same to the end of the year. According to one REO bank insider banks may be holding off on foreclosures and evictions around the holidays but then will be stepping it up again in January. Kauai foreclosures & REO inventory  should continue until at least another 6 to 12 months. I would think by this time next year the REO inventory will be slowing down. My peronal REO upcoming inventory is at 21 properties . These properties will be featured in next weeks blog.
