I am writing you this morning from the vibrant NY, NY! My former home of 12 years! Today is my first day here, returning for my first visit from Kauai in over 7 years. Today I will be out on the town ‘inspecting’ the City! Central Park, South Street Sea Port, my old yoga studio! I’ll let you know how it goes!
Last week I was visiting family in Holt Michigan, which is quite beautiful this time of year! The weather was sunny & warm every day! I sure am glad I do not live there in the winters though! It can be quite easy getting used to living on Kauai, never using winter coats or boots! I really do not miss that at all! I spent some time shopping and dining at the MSU campus which is so beautiful and fun! An interesting note on the drivers in the Greater Lansing Area: They drive much faster then this Kauaian, and did not care much for my slow relaxed driving style
One of the drivers even yelled at me for driving to slow in a 30 mph zone at MSU! Well, the contrast really made me appreciate our more relaxed drivers on Kauai!

Approximately 28 New Residential Listings ranging in Price from $700,000 to $3,600,000.
Approximately 11 homes back on the market in same price range.
Approximately 15 homes are contingent in same price range.
15 Premier homes sold on Kauai in the last 30 days ranging in price from $765,000 to $6,150,000.
Two homes under Contract.
Over 25 homes in this price range (starting at $700,000 with no cap on the high end) lowered their asking price! Did I mention it is a Buyers Market on Kauai! A great time to buy!

Aloha Kauai Luxury Lovers! We had fantastic weather this holiday week-end! But thats no surprise! Since I moved to Kauai from NYC, I no longer own any winter clothes, no completely closed shoes except sneakers! Is it time for you to invest in your dream of owning in Paradise yet?
Today I wanted to share some tips for Going Green Easily one small step at a time! So here are a few small effortless actions you can take to help the Planet:
1) Adopt Something: A animal, a stream, a whale. There is no limit to the number of environments causes to which you you can help support.
2) Avoid Fast Food: Most fast food is over packaged and many fast food companies are responsible for production mountains of Trash! Besides you know its not good for your beautiful body!
3) Boycott a Product: Choose something you feel is not good for the environment. Write a letter to the company’s president (the address is often right on the package) and tell him/her why you have decided not to buy the product anymore. If lots of people did this, companies would start making more environmentally responsible products!

So from April 20, 2007 to date (Sunday, May 20, 2007) there were TEN Luxury Home Sales! Two in the Wailua Homesteads, Four in the beautiful Kilauea Area, Two in the awsome Anini Beach Area, and Two in Princeville!
The asking price range for these homes ranged from $1,095,000 (sold for $995,000) to $3,295,000 (sold for $2,500,000). Did I mentioned it is a Buyers Market on Kauai! A great time to buy!

This is my first entry onto my blog & I am so excited to share with you the joys of living and owning luxury homes on the Beautiful Garden Island! Although this entry will be more about the luxurious morning I had with my yoga students, around 10 students/tourists visiting the sunny side of Paradise! Poipu!
Today is another perfect and spectacular day! The sun is out and every once in a while clouds pass by to keep the class from getting to hot! I teach an oceanfront yoga class 3 mornings a week in Poipu. My students from the neighboring Resorts arrive at 8 am to participate in a hatha flow yoga class with me! For the next 90 minutes we proceed to stretch, strengthen, breathe and relax in our outdoor studio with the most awsome oceanfront view! Today we had a special visitor! During the class a Hawaiian Monk Seal appeared in the water before the class & began swimming and playing right in front of us!
This is one of the priceless luxurious benefits of living on Kauai, (or any of the Hawaiian Islands), being able to see whales, monk seals, turtles, and dolphins from land while doing yoga, golfing, or just hanging out at the beach! There are several homes and condos where you can sit in the living room and watch the sea life play and live right in front of you! Just ask, I will be happy to find one for you!
So after the yoga class, I decided to jump into the water, my first time in months! It felt great, cool at first & then just right! The monk seal was still swimming around! I made sure to get out of the water when it came near me so as not to disturb it. It is important for residents and guests of Kauai to keep their distance from the Monk Seal. They are an endangered species and it is against the law to disturb them or even come within 300 feet of them. This law is in place for the seals and the humans protection!
Next I was off to get an organic salad at the local supermarket in Koloa, and down to my favorite oceanfront lava rock wall overlooking the ocean!
Life can be incredibly luxurious on the islands!
