Poipu Fire, New Kauai Shopping Center and Kauai Real Estate October 22
Aloha! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous and I’ve included a picture to prove it! This is taken at the Kiahuna Plantation here in
Poipu where my office is located. THIS IS WHERE I WORK! When I need
a break I take a walk and this is what I get to look at. I love this!
*****Two Fires In Poipu!*****
Last Tuesday a brush fire broke out near the CJM stable in the Mahalapu Beach area which is that beach beyond the Grand Hyatt. 50 to 80 acres were burned before they got the fire contained. Some of the construction water trucks that are nearby responded to the fire also helping to put it out. The next day a hot spot fired up at the same area the next day. By 5 pm the fire was under control and since then there have been no flare ups. Cause of fire is unknown, no injuries or damage to property have been reported.
*****Special Superferry Legislative Meeting To Be Held***** *****Koloa Marketplace A Go*****
After a year long lawsuit the county of Kauai is giving the green light to the Koloa Marketplace LLC. to build their office and shopping
complex. The restrictions are listed HERE This complex will be
located across from the existing shops in Koloa. The Post Office will be torn down and a new one built built within the new shopping center.
Where the Post Office is now a grocery store will be built.
