Good Monday Morning Everyone! Summer is here in full swing and the Kauai County Fair has kicked off with lots of fun for all. Rides, food and craft booths plus our island style entertainment. It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to a close but the “winter” weather that we have here makes it a little easier to make it to next summer. The Supferry continues to make news, they are offering a $5 dollar fare per person and car! Emotions run high both in our newspaper and the general feeling of the public about this issue. Greetings From Kauai! The big news this week had been hurricane Flossie which came and went giving us some showers, wind and nothing else. We are back to our trade winds and night showers. My company is co-brokering a new subdivision here on the South Shore called Wainani. We have our building permits and today we are touring the site! We are very excited about this project as it is Poipu’s first subdivision that is built out at one time. If you would like more information on this new subdivision I will forward that on to you.

Aloha Everyone! Another week has come and gone here on Kauai. We have been having a wonderful summer with great weather and huge occupancy in our hotels and vacation rental condominiums. Our big news has been that the “SuperFerry” is setting a date of August 28 to start sailing between islands. This much controversal addition of transportation for our island will be transporting cars between islands. It is set to come to Kauai on a trial basis. If you would like to keep up on the news here on Kauai vist our newspaper online http://www.KauaiWorld.com On a more personal note; I got my very first “Hole In One” while playing golf last Tuesday. My husband and I have a golf date every Tuesday morning at one of Kauai’s most scenic (and inexpensive) golf courses Kukui’olono located in Kaleheo which is a short drive from Poipu where we live. This course has great ocean views and is very challenging.
