This economy affects us all one way or another June 30, 2009
Posted by Sarah in : Updates , add a commentDue to the mandate by Governor Lingle to initiate mandatory State Furloughs by State Employees to cover her budget deficit, the Bureau of Conveyances has issued the following:
The law requires the Bureau of Conveyances to be open to the public Monday through Friday, except on State Holidays. Effective July 1, 2009, all Bureau employees will be scheduled one furlough day per week for each of the weeks with a scheduled furlough day.
How this affects YOUR escrow:
- No Special Recordings: The Bureau of Conveyances will no longer allow specials regardless of the liability (dollar) amount.
- No Pulls: The Bureau of Conveyances will no longer allow documents to be pulled once they have been submitted for recording.
- Projects or Bulk Recordings: No Project/Bulk Recordings will be allowed during the last five business days of each month.
- Recording Fee: The Regular System Recording fee will increase $5.00 per document. The Land Court document recording fees will not be affected.
- Good Funds: Documents will not be submitted unless escrow has good funds in hand two business days prior to recordation.

I am happy to announce The Moore Estate (which sold for $10M) is no longer available. There is one other beachfront estate available “Hanalei Kahakai Hale”. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Hanalei Bay’s premier spots. Contact me for more information.
