Update on the Transient Vacation Rental program on the island of Kauai March 17, 2009
Posted by Sarah in : Updates , add a commentMany Hanalei homes were inspected this past week for their compliance to the new Ordinance. Even though the homes have been inspected, there is still an additional hoop to jump through.
According to the most recent revision of the Ordinance, a Transient Vacation Rental Affidavit must be completed by the Single Family Vacation Rental owner OUTSIDE the VDA. This affidavit must be notarized and received by the County no later than March 30, 2009. You can obtain a copy of this affidavit by visiting www.kauai.org.
Results of the inspections can also be found on this website under Transient Vacation Rental Registration. It is unknown as to whether these results will be posted any sooner than 30 days out from the date of inspection, so keep checking the website.
