Posted by Sarah in : Updates , add a commentEvery year the Kauai Humane Society has their fundraiser at the Kauai Marriott. This fundraiser is always a good time with great food, a wonderful silent auction and fantastic entertainment and this year was no exception. This year, the theme was “The Wizard of Paws”.
The Kauai Humane Society counts on this annual fundraiser for financial support to get them through the year since they do not get government support. You can support this fundraiser by buying individual tickets, or even better, by buying a table that seats twelve as well as participating in the silent auction. This year, the silent auction donations were better than ever.
The entertainment this year was Willie K and his band. Willie K had just spent the previous evening with Smokey Robinson on Oahu and he brought that big Motown Sound to our little island. He even stopped in the middle of his first song to make sure that people had a place to dance.
So keep your eyes and ears open to make sure you do not miss the next annual dinner and come to show your support of our furry friends and we will see you on the dance floor.

Posted by Sarah in : Updates , add a commentThe housing market may be in a “Correction Mode”, but things are happening in Hanalei. There are currently 57 listings from Hanalei to Haena on the North Shore of Kauai.
Of these listings, 26 are Residential properties ranging in price from $898,000 up to $15,000,000. There are 28 Land listings ranging in price from $329,000 to $15,000,000. And last but not least, there are 3 Condominium listings ranging in price from $549,000 to $1,150,000.
Our office can account for 50% of the current listings in escrow at this time and 50% of the closings year to date. There are currently 2 listings in escrow and there have been 7 closings. One of my Residential closings year to date set a record price for a property located on the Mauka side of Weke Road at $2,600,000.
