Aloha,

As this is my first post, I thought I would start off by giving you an idea of who I am.

I live in Kailua Kona, and I have been here on the Big Island for almost five years. Before that, we moved around a lot, and I have lived in almost more places than I can count. (Maui, Denver, Alaska, Northern California, to name a few).

I have been working in real estate for a little over four years. I have always loved real estate – the whole process of finding, buying and selling homes has always been fun and interesting to me. I love working with people, and I really enjoy taking the time to help home buyers find the home (or condo) that is just the right fit. I am also a complete computer geek (my first jobs were in computer programming), and I like to keep up to date with all the latest technology that is available to help us in this business.

As for Kona, the thing I love the most here is that pretty much every day is a beach day. It’s warm and sunny here almost all of the time… and the ocean is warm. (Try swimming in January off the coast of Northern California!) If you golf, or play tennis, or do any kind of outdoor activity, you can do it here almost any day of the year. Yes, it does rain, but infrequently. So if you want to enjoy the great outdoors, this is a great place to be. And you will never have to shovel snow off of your driveway.

With this blog, I will be writing about the things that I know. That would be real estate, of course, with a focus on properties that meet the needs of families, along with stories of how we live, and how we play.

If you ever have any questions, either about buying or selling property on the Big Island, or just about day to day life here, please get in touch. I am always happy to help.

Mahalo for visiting!

Monica
