A Beautiful Day in Kona

Aloha!  It is a beautiful and a bit windy day here in Kona.  I’m sitting here at my family’s gift shop Hawaiian Isles Trading Co. at the Kona International Market enjoying some “Braddah Iz” (Israel Kamakawiwo’ole) music.  The sun is shining and all is good.

I have been visiting with people in our shop today from all around the mainland – Illinois, Colorado, etc.  They all have stories of below zero temperatures that they are happy to have escaped from and are excited about being here at least for a week or more.  The saying “Lucky we live Hawaii!” races through my mind.

Lucky indeed!  Last weekend, I helped a friend celebrate her birthday along with a super nice group of people down at the beach.  After lots of yummy food — everything from grilled mahi mahi, sashimi, poke, salad and chicken katsu to yummy chocolate cake — we were entertained by some passing humpback whales who waved their “Happy Birthday” greetings with a splash of their fins and tails.  What a sight!

Living in Hawaii and, especially, on the relaxed and fun Big Island of Hawaii, is truly special.  If you would like to be “lucky to live Hawaii”, please come visit and give me a call — I’d love to introduce you to our beautiful island and all the wonderful properties in paradise that you can call home!

Check out my website for all available properties — I can help you with homes, condos or land to build your dream home on:

Feel free to call me on my cell at:  808-896-6589.  I look forward to hearing from you!
